For another six weeks
My time abroad is great!!! (it was actually already with you in Iceland guys) It is even so great now that I have to announce bad news for you. Well, probably not too bad since I guess you anticipated that I will not come back to the most beautiful island I know so soon. Well, I just signed a new contract with the company I am currently doing my internship at, which means I will stay a little longer in Prague. Writing my thesis there and most likely waiting for sweet Světla coming back to have a beer with her.
Anymore to tell? Well, as stated above, even though I am not so far away from my home country this part of my life is a unique experience. I am so glad to have done this step and thank all of you for having supported me or just AIESEC. I am travelling a lot meanwhile, even though it is mostly to Germany. But since this is a big country (compared to Czechia but please dont think of Russia now... hehe) even for me there is still a lot new to discover :-)
Guys, I am looking forward to coming back to Reykjavík one day but for the time being just be sure that I had a wonderful time with you, have a wonderful time now and know I will enjoy the last six weeks of my traineeship. You all are welcome to celebrate that with me here in Prague (dont tell you that I am in Hanover right now) even if it might be a later...
Take care!

MC 2005-06
It is the second day when I am not a President of AIESEC in Iceland. I do feel a bit strange - sad and relieved, missing something and looking forward to new times.
My MC members are not anymore 'my MC' or 'my team'. Tómas is already working for AIESEC in Indonesia, Svetla is continuing in MC of AIESEC in Iceland as Vice president exchange development and Þórdís Katla is my successor who took over the steer of the organization few days ago.
From all my heart I want to thank my dear MC- Svetla, Þórdís and Tómas for the amazing year that we have had together. I want to thank for every single moment of laugh, work, disagreement, fun, dance, travel...
I also want to thank all the members of AIESEC in Iceland, current and former, for being an essential part of my and my teams AIESEC experience.
AIESEC is the world of opportunities, so stay awake and grab them! Take the steps forward and I wish you the best luck in every step you take and every decision you make.
Hugs,

Special yesterday...
Before I run to get some dinner, I wanted to share with you few exciting moments from the International Presidents meeting that we Thordis are attending at the moment in the Netherlands.
The conference is extremelly intense but we are having a lots of fun. Yesterday, I personally experienced some precious moments that almost brought me to tears and also motivated me to contribute even more for the AIESEC in Iceland.
Yesterday we had a PAI elections. Some of you will probably wonder who is the PAI.... :) I am honoured to announce that the President of AIESEC International 2006-07 is Edyson Dos Santos, who is currently the Africa GN director!!!! Wow, if you would know what an experience is to be a part of these elections, what a quality, ideas, visions and experiences that are shared with the leaders from all over the world.....
Yesterday was also a very special day for AIESEC in Iceland, because our name was mentioned few times by very special people in the very special moments....
Some of you probably remember Marcus Orlovsky, who came for Career days last year. This entrepreneur and the most excellent speaker that I have ever seen thanked AIESEC in Iceland for inviting him to Career days 2005. There he met Magnus Schieving and according to Marcus, they "clicked". :) It means that now they are working together for the better future of children. In front of all plenary he several times thanked Iceland for the opportunity that led him to fulfill his dreams, to make the world a better place. :)
Then we had final speeches of the PAI candidates and our dear WENA director, Taco Bosman (one the candidates) who was visiting AIESEC in Iceland in october, said that in our country he also had a special moment. Gudrun Helga, our lovely OCP of HIV project inspired him deeply by showing a maturity and sharing her future goals and vision. For him this small talk was very inspiring and "reconfirming" that the things we do in AIESEC really matter and that we are enabling people to become the agents of change, that I am sure that Gudrun Helga is.
Kisses and hugs to everybody, we miss you!!!

AIESEC.net
from 21 - 26 of February is AIESEC.net not fully function. It will be in system read-only and sometimes it may go down for a while. International IT team is working hard to make this system even better than it is now :-)))
We would like to keep in your minds, that AIESEC.net is our main communication tool and you should regurally look into communities and mainly ours (called ICELAND). We are posting all news there for you, so chceck it regurally!!!
So, if you want to, have a look at our community now, you will see for sure lot of changes and news. And after it will be fully functional, we can use it 100%.

This and that
If you sometimes wonder what MCEB is doing besides of bossing around in the office, then here are some pictures of our last activity. Þórdís invited us to her home where we were having a wonderful dinner. Þórdís, sorry, but I don't remember how you call that grill thing, but it is a little similar to Fondue...or rather to say, american version of Fondue - simple, no fat ( :oD ) and non-sticking. Anyways, we cooked the food ourselves and it was delicious! Unfortunately Tómas was a bit late, so we have pictures just of us, Ice girls....
Enjoy the view! :oP
